Black hunters' sandals
This is a pair of sandals of the type worn by active people such as hunters and soldiers. It has asturdy sole made of tough leather, lined with cork, and two broad leather bands that pass around the
ankle and under the arch of the foot, with a thong passing between the big and second toes. They
have been dyed black, possibly so as not to show the blood. Very practical, very masculine and
macho.
