| By allowing customers to view the creation of the perfect pair of shoes, the artisan doubles the workshop as an effective showroom. Directly opposite the entrance is a scarred but lovingly polished large wooden table, on which are a multitude of shoe making tools. Behind the table, and spanning the height of the wall, is a shallow shelf that holds the wooden foot templates of the artisan's clients. At the front of the shop are window seats where customers can perch to try on their newly crafted footwear. |  |
