Carefully spaced around the sleek grey walls are framed posters, all of which seem to be advertising operas in fancy writing and a sense of self-importance. An elegant crystal box resting on a glass shelf holds a tiny imp. Through the plate glass window, the shop on the east side of the alley is obstinately visible. |  |
