Spandrelled clothes rack
This is a red lacquered clothes rack with a light and open framework that is juxtaposed with robustand archaic styles of decoration. Two long racks, separated into three vertical squares by three
individual bars, the uppermost rack curves up at its ends toward the ceiling. The spandrels are
pierced with phoenix carvings and the base stretchers carved in deep reliefs of in the curves of
foliage.
