Scarlet linen gown
Made of linen dyed to a scarlet colour, this homemade gown is a quality garment. A sensiblefarmer's wife has probably spent hours making it, and might wear it, since it covers her enough not
to be too exciting. It does cling nicely to the body however, with a fairly high neckline and long
sleeves. The skirt reaches well below the knee. The scarlet linen gown has two side pockets.
