Orthopaedic shoes from hell

   These heavy shoes look to be the single most uncomfortable pair of shoes ever designed by man in his
   neverending quest to make the ugliest, most painful, tear-jerkingly embarrassing shoes. The shoes
   themselves are of heavy bull leather, with a 4 inch wooden sole, riveted steel reinforcement (i.e.:
   spikes) in the arch, a bed of nails inside the toes, and at least 4 screw-clamp vices at various
   angles. There might be more, but the knives are blocking your view. You could swear that something
   is crawling around in one of the shoes. The shoelaces are tied so tightly that the shoes are
   unbearably painful.
