A luxurious shop

| Hardly more than an alcove in depth, but wide enough for several Howondalandish war elephants to stand outside and thrust in huge grey heads, gold-sheathed tusks, and curious questing trunks, this shop is hung with neat rows of thread in hanks and spools, as gorgeously and colourfully arranged as the warp and weft of any Klatchian tapestry. Whilst the shop is almost certainly less likely to take joyous leave of the Disc and soar amongst the clouds, at least in a strictly literal sense, the ethos of craft and care and delight in ornament may well elevate any soul. |  |
